How this site is maintained

DubaiChecked publishes one question per page, answers it in the first paragraph, and shows the primary source and the date the answer was last verified.

The method

Every number lives in a fact ledger, not in the article text. A value is stored once with its source URL, the date it was read, and how often it needs re-reading. Pages reference the ledger. When a value changes, every page that uses it changes with it, and the change is written to thechangelog with both the old and the new figure.

Re-check cycles are set by how fast a thing actually moves: fares and ticket prices every 30 days, operating hours and service conditions every 90, terminal layouts and geography every 180. Currently 63 values across 28 registered sources.

What this site will not do

• It does not decide whether you can enter the UAE. Entry and visa questions are explained with the requirements and a link to the official authority. A tool that gets that wrong makes someone miss a flight, and a disclaimer does not undo it.
• It does not move the date without changing the content. When a value is checked and has not changed, the page says so. It does not pretend to be new.
• It does not publish a number that could not be verified. If a source goes dark and a figure cannot be confirmed, the figure comes down.
• It does not invent experience. No stock photography presented as first-hand, no invented anecdotes, no reviews that were never received.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, that is worth more than a compliment. Corrections are published as corrections: dated, with the previous value shown and the reason stated. They are not quietly edited away.

Affiliate links

Some pages carry affiliate links, always marked and always disclosed next to the link itself. What a page recommends comes from the ledger, not from which partner pays more. Several pages here carry no affiliate link at all, because there is nothing honest to sell on them.
