Privacy
This is a static site. There are no accounts, no logins, no comments and no user-generated content. Below is what actually happens when you read a page.
What we collect directly
Nothing. The site has no server of its own that stores anything about you, and no first-party tracking beyond the analytics described below. We do not ask for your name, and there is no way to create an account.
Analytics
We use analytics to see which pages are read and where readers arrive from. That is used to decide what to write next and to judge whether the site is working at all — it is not used to build profiles of individuals, and we cannot identify you from it.

If you use a browser that blocks either of these, the site works exactly the same. Nothing on this site depends on analytics loading.
Your choice is stored in your own browser, not on our servers, and nothing is shared with advertisers — this site carries no advertising. Change your analytics choice.
The newsletter
If you subscribe, your email address goes to Kit, which runs the list and sends the mail. Kit receives your address and, if you open the emails, whether you opened them. We do not sell or share the list, and every email has an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
You can ask to be removed at any time and we will delete the record rather than just suppress it.
Affiliate links
Some links to booking and eSIM providers are affiliate links, marked as such next to the link. When you click one, the provider's own tracking records that the click came from this site, usually with a cookie that lasts for a defined window. We receive a commission if you buy — but we receive no information about you personally, only that a sale happened.
What those providers do with your data once you are on their site is governed by their privacy policies, not ours. See the disclaimer for how affiliate links relate to what this site recommends.
Fonts and third-party requests
Typefaces are served from this domain, not from a font CDN. Reading a page does not send a request to Google Fonts or any other third party for styling. The only external requests a page makes are the analytics calls listed above.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or EU, you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be deleted, or object to analytics processing. In practice the only thing we hold that identifies a person is a newsletter subscription, so in most cases the answer is "an email address, and we will delete it on request".
A contact address for privacy requests will be published here once the domain is live. Until then, requests can be made through the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email.
Changes
If this policy changes, the change is recorded in the changelog like any other change on this site, with the date. We do not quietly rewrite it.
