What time does the Dubai Tram run?

ArrivalsPublished
Answer

From Monday to Saturday the first tram leaves Al Sufouh at six in the morning, and the last trams run shortly after midnight, until about one at night. On Sunday the first tram leaves at nine. Friday has no timetable of its own on the tram.

From Monday to Saturday the Dubai Tram runs 06:00 to 00:24 from Al Sufouh towards Jumeirah Lakes Towers, and 06:26 to 00:50 from Jumeirah Lakes Towers back towards Al Sufouh. On Sunday it starts later: 09:00 to 00:20 from Al Sufouh and 09:26 to 00:46 from Jumeirah Lakes Towers.

RTAโ€™s timetable has only those two columns, Monday to Saturday and Sunday. Friday runs to the Monday-to-Saturday times. That is different from the Metro, which keeps a separate, later Friday timetable.

The last tram is after midnight

The last time in each range is past midnight. It is still that dayโ€™s service: the last tram on a Tuesday leaves in the early hours of Wednesday. The one awkward night is Saturday. The last Saturday tram runs into the early hours of Sunday, and the next one is the first Sunday tram, at the later Sunday start.

RTA labels the last-tram column โ€œstation closedโ€: after the last tram the stop shuts until the morning.

The two tables do not have the same stops

Jumeirah Beach Residence 1 and 2 appear only in the timetable towards Jumeirah Lakes Towers. Dubai Marina Mall appears only in the timetable towards Al Sufouh. The run towards Jumeirah Lakes Towers ends there, and the run towards Al Sufouh starts there. So a trip from the JBR stops to Dubai Marina Mall, Palm Jumeirah or anywhere else towards Al Sufouh goes through Jumeirah Lakes Towers first.

Late at night that decides whether the trip still works. Compare the last arrival at Jumeirah Lakes Towers, the bottom row of the first table, with the last departure from it, the top row of the second.

If your trip continues on the Metro

The Red Line has its own first and last trains, in the same RTA timetable. At DMCC, where the Metro meets the tram, the last Red Line train in either direction leaves at 23:48 from Monday to Thursday, 23:48 on Saturday and 23:48 on Sunday. On those nights the Metro stops before midnight and the tram keeps running after it: a late tram can bring you to a station the Metro has already closed.

Friday is the exception. The last Red Line train through DMCC leaves at 00:48, and the two finish close together. That is the later of the two directions; the last trains towards centrepoint, the airport side of the line, leave earlier. The last train from the airport has the Red Line times from both terminals and back.

The tram takes the same nol card as the Metro. If you do not have one yet, which card to buy compares them.

Where this page stops

These are RTAโ€™s regular times. RTAโ€™s timetable page says timetables for public holidays and special occasions are published separately, from its home page, and the tram can run different hours on those days. The tables here do not cover them.

The Dubai Marina water taxi is a separate RTA service with its own timetable.

Where these times come from

Every time on this page is from RTAโ€™s station-by-station Metro and Tram timetable, a PDF on rta.ae marked REG_20260925, which we read cell by cell and checked against the printed page.
